Years of Piecing

I stared a quilt in the 1990's for my sister.  So, after a decade and a half I have finally finished it!

Ignore the red wall which doesn't match it.

The quilt wouldn't have been finished with out Mom coming to do the project with me.  Thanks Mom!

Thankful

I'm no writer, but I do like to express that I am thankful for so many things.
For my family that holds on to me even when I am grumpy and over booked because I can't say no,
For my Heavenly Father that sent them to me and knows me and my needs and weaknesses,
For the opportunities he gives me to grow and strengthen those weaknesses and become strong,
For sweet friends that encourage me by their good example and loving kindness
For the happy smile that comes from smelling rain
For the change of the season so that I can wear slippers and sweaters again and make hot soup
For a far away son that takes pictures of leaves changing colors and posts them for me to see
For family that are near my far away son
For a daughter who shares my same love of music and can't help but harmonize with my humming
For a son who looks to be of help to those around him
For a son that has given our family a new activity watching him play baseball
For one still young enough to trick or treat and want to carve pumpkins and roast seeds
For the temple which can reset my baseline back to what it should feel like when I'm feeling the spirit.
For the love I feel for my Savior because he made it possible for my family to be back together forever
